Episode 27: Perfectionism and Authenticity – Coffee Break 8

We all have the inner battle of perfectionism, it’s a creator’s struggle and a human struggle. Yet, we live in a world craving the imperfections of a creator’s journey.

In line with not worrying so much about perfection, this Coffee Break inbetweenisode is a short 9 minute audio recording we did in the car while driving.

We were listening to a podcast and as often happens, the podcast fueled ideas and inspiration and we decided to record the convo to share. You can find the podcast we were listening to in the Resource Links below.

We have a lot of these kinds of breaks during the week stimulated from podcasts we listen to, articles we read (or scan;)), the content we see, people that inspire us or just thoughts that bubble up come up.

This is who we are, and we hope you are inspired and encouraged to share your journey with the world.

Things we discuss:

  • Being okay with imperfection
  • Shipping before you’re ready
  • Bringing your art into the world, even before you’re ready
  • Authenticity over plasticity

About the author, LeAura Alderson

Hello! I’m LeAura, a philosopher, autodidactic former homeschooling mom, self development advocate, entrepreneur, author, ideator, web publisher, and podcaster, passionate about helping others achieve their best possible life!

I love people, creating, and good conversations on creativity, growth, development and entrepreneurship. So co-hosting the iCreateDaily podcast along with my daughter, Devani, is one of my favorite things to do.

I've trained and certified in mediation, strategic intervention, marriage and family coaching as well as a fitness trainer, and participated in many courses and workshops over the years.

Today, the synergy of creating websites, articles and podcasts, brings together all my favorite things: learning, growth, creating, connecting and contributing. To share these with you is a privilege, that serves my lifelong aspiration to help others.

My personal areas of creativity are in writing, masterminding, ideation and bringing ideas to life through business and entrepreneurship.
